Our Financial Summary

Your Donations Make Things Happen

Donations fuel all we do. We encourage each and every member of our Park family to join our community of givers so we may continue to “Do Good Things for Thousand Island Park”.

We only use your money in the Park!

Last year your direct public donations amounted to just under $14K. These donations and funds raised at events of $10.5K and rental income of $750 were used towards the grants and events listed above.

Almost all of our events are free of charge. The only event where there is a charge is the River Ball. The ticket price is set as close to needed to cover the expenses. It is open to anyone that would like to purchase a ticket but is limited in size due to venue restrictions.

Foundation Financial Strength

Early in our brief history, the Foundation received a large unrestricted donation with encouragement to use their gift to do good things for our community and encourage others to make gifts to the Foundation. We have been faithful stewards of this gift, using it as intended to help our community and to prudently invest it and other donations to grow our ability to do more for the Park. As our resources have grown through donations and investments, we have expanded our ability to make a positive impact.

We carefully manage investments in a conservative manner. Our finance committee has made its recommendations and our Foundation board has adopted a financial policy that will ensure we can do good things for the Park and keep us financially sound. Realized investment income covers our carefully managed administrative costs and our expenditures.

Thank you to all our donors! Any gift of any size makes a difference.
